Forever Living Aloe

I have given some samples of forever living products to try from a friend of mine. I have never used these products Before but I wanted to give them a go and see if they were any good for me to continue to use.

I was given to try the Forever Bright Toothgel, Aloe Moisturizing Lotion, Aloe Propolis Creme and Aloe Vera Gelly. So far I have only used two of the products and I have to say I am impressed by them both. I will list all of the reviews on this post, not as separate ones so they are easy to find so this post is a work in progress up to now.

Okay, so the first thing I’m reviewing is the Forever Bright Toothgel. I have heard good things about this Toothgel especially for it being able to visibly brighten and whiten your teeth, which I was very looking forward to. Let’s start with some basics of this, this Toothgel contains bee propolis and does not contain fluoride. I have always used a fluoride toothpaste for as long as I remember because I have weak teeth. I managed to get three uses from the sample that I was given. I could have got four if I hadn’t used as much. The flavour of this toothgel is really nice, a natural mint flavour which is really fresh and lovely. It doesn’t burn like some high street toothpaste do. And it doesn’t make my mouth feel all weird after I have used it. I noticed after using this for a day that the bottom of my teeth looked a lot brighter and whiter than they had been the previous day. Which is a big result for me since I have used many whitening toothpastes all with no results. And I drink a lot of tea so my teeth have become tea stained over the years. I also found that this toothgel made my teeth feel sort of squeaky clean compared to other toothpaste which I have used in the past. Over all, I would use this again as I liked the texture, the taste and the overall feel of this toothgel. And I think if I did buy it I would see a huge difference in my teeth health and whiteness.

The second item that I have tried so far is the Aloe Propolis Creme. I’m going to start this review with my one negative thing then get on to all the positives. This Creme smells like hospitals, I don’t know what it is but there is just that smell of something medical. And that’s the only negative, let’s go to the positives. This Creme makes for an excellent moisturiser and makes a really good base for foundation and other makeup. I have used it instead of my usual primer and I found that my make up lasted longer even without using setting spray which I use every time I wear makeup usually. I found this Creme to be nice and thick so I would use it as more of a night cream so it has time to sink in while my skin is warm after having a bath. I also found that his creme helped sooth my skin, as sometimes I find my skin is sensitive and sore from cleansing and makeup and life really. Bee propolis has healing qualities and will help to repair the skin, and I also found this Creme seemed to even out my skin tone, as recently I have found my skin to be red in some areas and blotchy. I have not used this Creme till it was finished so I can’t give a long term review as yet, I will add that as the Creme runs out.

Honey I Washed the Kids Soap

So I got this soap a while ago, free from Lush in Middlesbrough as a Random Act of Kindness one day when I was in store. I wasn’t expecting it and honestly, I thought it was lovely as I was going to buy this soap eventually.

Honey I Washed The Kids Soap (HIWTK) is a very creamy colour, almost like honey that has settled at the bottom of the jar or bottle, or cloudy honey that you can sometimes buy. The colour isn’t much to look at honestly, but HIWTK soap makes up for it in other ways. It may not look the nicest but it smells amazing. The new HIWTK soap has a dark brown transparent top layer which has a honeycomb pattern on which is a nice touch considering the older soap was slightly boring.

HIWTK soap smells like toffee and caramel it’s a really lovely smell, very sweet and uplifting, sort of takes me back to being a kid in my grandma’s kitchen as her brother used to keep bees and I remember watching her get the honey out of the honeycomb and getting the wax out too. The warm sticky smell of the honey, just takes me back, especially considering that I don’t like to eat honey because I find it too messy and too sweet on my teeth.

I find this soap to be a little soft as well, in fact, mine got stuck under the top of my lush drawer unit and got damaged and squashed. Which is a little disappointing but I guess it’s just soap and will end up down the drain eventually. I think the creaminess of the soap adds to the lathering of HIWTK soap. As it produces a creamy lather which helps to moisturise the skin and make it soft and supple.

I would buy this soap again when this bar I have runs out as I do really like it. It makes my skin feel soft and moisturised, and leave a lovely light smell of honey on the skin. The smell does last a while and it would last even longer if I combined it with Scrubbee, Honey I Washed My Hair shampoo bar, It’s Raining Men shower gel and the Honey I Washed The Kids perfume.

Plum Rain Body Spray

This product is an Exclusive to Lush Oxford Street and some other stores in the south of the country. But it is also available online for people to order, unless you live in the US, as these sprays contain alcohol so they cannot be sent over to the US.

Anyway, so this body spray just comes in a plain black bottle with a spray top. Not like an aerosol spray its a pump action spray like an air freshener. Which means it’s better for the environment.

When you first spray this, it smells exactly like the Plum Rain shower gel. So like sour plums, it very nice and a sort of summery smell. So I will definitely be wearing this during the summer months. Along with using my plum rain shower gel, as this is now a regular line item so I can use up the bottle that I bought from the kitchen a while ago.

After it has had a chance to develop, orange notes appear bringing forward a new scent to this spray. I didn’t honestly think that it would develop into anything different other than the smell of Plum Rain shower gel. After the orange note passes then the smell is sort of like tomato leaves. Which isn’t a bad smell, unless like me you don’t like the smell of tomatoes.

I found that this does last on the skin for a long time, and if you get it on your clothes then it will last even longer, days even. Which I have experienced with another body spray that I’ve used (review to come). I managed to get a full night out with only two sprays on my neck, and the next morning it had complete worn off which means I didn’t have to deal with that sort of stale perfume smell which always makes me feel ill.

I really like this body spray, the only downsides to it being the black bottle and the fact that one spray is really wet and takes ages to dry down on your skin. So I recommend putting it on before you get dressed and doing your hair or makeup or something till it’s all dry to avoid transfer to your clothes.

Man Bun Wax Melts from Soy Crumbles UK

I’ll start this off by saying that I love Soy Crumbles UK, everything that they stand for, and all of the scents of wax which I have bought from them recently have been amazing, I’ve not gotten a bad scent from them yet.

Man Bun smells exactly how you would think it would. A manly masculine fragrance, with a hint of lemon. Though the lemon smell on mine could be because of some wax that it has been next to in the box. The main notes of this fragrance to my nose are a sort of aftershave type smell. Which creates a nice fresh scent to this melt.

This melt is a gorgeous blue colour, with bronze coloured glitter on the top. The glitter floats and swirls as the melt are liquid in your burner. Which is very relaxing to watch. It creates a sort of galaxy of stars in your burner.

The melt is very strong and fills the room with scent really quickly once it’s melting. And the smell lasts in the air for hours and hours. I’ve also found that I can get multiple melts from just one cube from a brick of wax from Soy Crumbles, as the melts are so saturated with scent.

Glade Pumpkin Pit Stop Wax Melts

Hey, guys, I’m wanting to get a lot of my wax reviews out of the way so I can focus more on Lush and stuff. I hope you understand if there are a lot of wax reviews in the coming days, that’s why. However, I will still be doing Lush reviews during this time.

I got these a while ago when I first was getting into Wax Melting. I think I got them from Home Bargains or somewhere similar. In the pack, you get six wax melt cubes which are very highly fragranced, even with the pack closed and in a bag, I can smell these melts for a mile off.

Let’s keep going with the smell. These smell very autumnal, with a spicy top note. Almost like a pumpkin spice latte. Which I love to get when the season comes around. When you get up close to these melts you can get an orange note behind all the spice. When these are melting I can’t smell the orange note, but I know they fill the house with amazing spicy fragrance for hours and hours, and when you are done with them for hours after the house still smells amazing. But then the next day I sort of noticed a curry smell in the house which isn’t the best sort of smell to have, unless you really like curry.

Each of these melts is a cube shape and bright orange in colour, I’ve never had the colour stain my melters, one is white, the other light yellow and neither of those have been stained by these melts, even leaving the cooled wax in them for a day or so before taking it out.

These melts are really nice and very strong, however, I don’t think I will be buying these again, though I am ready to try some of the other Glade scents which are on offer in the UK.

Troubled Dad in Dirty Water Bath Cocktail

Okay guys so this is the first bath cocktail that I’ve posted about on here. I hope you guys like this idea and I hope that if you guys try it you will let me know what you think.

Optional to use some Dirty Springwash

For the Bath – A Super Dad Bath Bomb

Half an Oil on Troubled Water Bath Oil.

Method (sort of)

So I put the Mod Father bubble bar chunks into a sieve, with the cubes of jelly. Or you can make the bubbles however you would normally, I just use a sieve because it’s easier for me to have that under the tap than my hand, or than putting the bubble bar chunks in the bottom of the bath.

Once the bath is full to your desired water level and temperature. Add in the bath oil. and then add in the bath bomb straight away. It’s a slow fizzer so if you want to add that first you can do. Let the bath bomb and oil work their magic in the water and you will be left with a beautiful blue bath which smells of intoxicating tobacco and sandalwood.

I will add reviews of the individual products used to my blog in due time. But for now, I hope you all enjoy this. Also, I will add pictures when I get round to it.
